My first recommendation for an emerging speaker is always the same. Find, and attend, a meeting held by your local area chapter of the National Speakers Association. At their web site, www.nsaspeaker.org, you can access information about the chapters. The next piece of advice I'll dispense is that you attend the Annual Convention of National Speakers Association, held every summer. These two suggestions can make all the difference in your career.
